Building & Licensing Operational Review – Update #1
Tomorrow the Building & Licensing Operational Review Sub-Committee will be meeting to review the recent, scathing Operational Review on the Building & Licensing Division of the Planning & Economic Development Department. The auditor has recommended an unheard of 48 recommendations to fix the Standards & Licensing Section. Several issues were raised including lack of enforcement, no performance standards/manuals, poor communication, no justification of fees, to name a few.
Simply put – this is unacceptable! I will be raising several issues at tomorrow’s meeting and will update you as to what happened tomorrow…
