Volunteer Snow Removal Service Available

Volunteer Hamilton is recruiting volunteers to become “Snow Angels”, who will be matched to an identified senior in need, based on the following criteria:

  • Is 65 yrs of age or older and currently receives a tax credit
  • Has an annual income of $25,000 or less
  • Has a disability documented by Ontario Disability support Plan, Wheelchair
parking permit, or doctors note regardless of age.

The volunteer will remove snow from the following areas:

  • City sidewalk directly in-front of the house
  • Driveway entrance (snow left by the snowplow)
  • Main walkway to the entrance of the residents home

Anyone 14 years of age or older is eligible to apply to become a volunteer. This is a terrific way for students to earn community service hours and a valuable way to promote awareness to our Hamilton residents of reaching out to our neighbors.
